    Welcome to this course - Introduction to Computational Thinking!  By taking part and completing this course, you will explore the basics of Computational Thinking including the vocabulary and myths associated with the term.  Computational Thinking is a set of problem-solving methods that involve expressing problems and their solutions.     Making Connections with ThingLink

    Welcome to our course - Making connections with ThingLink!  In this course you will explore the world of ThingLink - and use it to create unique, interactive learning experiences where you can include images, audio, video, web links and more. We love ThingLink, as it’s accessible on tablets, Chromebooks and also laptop or desktop computers. So if you’re always looking for new ways to present information for yourself and your students, then this is the course for you. We will use the ThingLink app on an iPad throughout this course - though I’ll also show you how to access your ThingLinks on a Chromebook too. We will be using the free version - though there are different subscriptions available for education. If you have any questions as you work through the course then don’t hesitate to get in touch - we are here to support you through it! So let’s start exploring the world of ThingLink... Please note: This course uses an iPad and the app ThingLink. These tools are preferable, as the demo uses them, though you could use ThingLink on a Chromebook or laptop should you wish, though some of the functionality and features may differ.

Personalised learning is when students demonstrate mastery of content in a competency-based system, they are highly involved in setting targets based on previous or lack of knowledge they have of a concept. This course will demonstrate how to create an engaging and cross curricular project using a variety of free software, tools and techniques on an iPad. The course will show you how to create professional looking, individual or collaborative projects, incorporating a range of multimedia elements as it progresses. The example project focused on during the course is aimed at a tour of a local area but the skills that are included have been so that you can easily apply them to your project based learning tasks, whilst also allowing you to differentiate between key stages and ages.
