Getting Started with Seesaw

Welcome to this ‘getting started with Seesaw’ course. By taking part and completing the course, you will gain the knowledge and skills to be able to use Seesaw effectively in your educational setting.  Seesaw, a digital portfolio, will allow you to create that powerful learning loop between you, your students and, should you wish, your students' families, to deepen student learning.  This course has been designed to allow teachers to empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate all within one space. Please follow along and complete tasks, which suit your needs, as you work through the course. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch and we will be more than happy to to help.   • How to create an account and set up your first Seesaw class.
  • Managing your students and choosing the right sign in mode for your educational setting.
  • Choosing appropriate class settings and how they can be adapted across school.
  • How to organise your students work by creating and using folders appropriately.
  • How to include and manage Co-teachers.
  • The ease at which you and your students can post and view items in the class feed and in individual student journals.
  • How Seesaw can be used to set curriculum rich activities for individual students or multiple classes.
  • The opportunities for marking including self and peer assessment.
  • The benefits of connecting families to the learning journal.
  • How to plan and prepare for a whole school roll out.
